GKAD

GKAD is an opinionated application framework that lays the groundwork so that you can deploy your applications to your kubernetes cluster using a gitlab-ci.yml file.

In a previous job I created machine vision software for the pharmaceutical industry using Cognex VisionPro. I deployed these on site in Italy and Germany.

On my cluster I created an email microsevice so that all my applications could have a central interface to send emails.

I use a CDN and S3 instances to manage media storage for my applications. This microservice enables my applications to upload/manage files without having to duplicate the functionality.

App Launch Manager

This was software that I created in a previous job (2015). It would manage the launching of applications on embedded systems. Features included a specific amount of launch retries per application and other complex nesting.

FAQ

What is my coding mindset?
Anyone can learn to code. The real skill is learning how to research. People tend to jump right in and start coding instead of taking the time to actually research the requirements, read the documentation and perform targeted keyword research on the web. By putting in this initial effort you will prevent spagetti code and having to perform rewrites in the future.
Working in a team environment
The working environment has a large role to play in the mindset of the developer. Learning and questions should be encouraged. Many coders are simply afraid to ask questions for fear of looking like they don't know or understand the requirements (Requirements evolve, so asking is good!). By asking quesitons they can be taught the right skillset to ensure they can find the answers to their questions in the future. Communication is key.
Preferred Technologies
I think the project itself matters more than the technology, to a degree. As long as the coding language itself is not an impediment. I am currently having a lot of fun with NextJS, Kubernetes and Golang as my preferred technology stack. I use CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes to deploy my projects when they are complete.
